About
The Tanwir Intensive is a year-long program in Arabic and Islamic Studies designed to lay the foundation for one’s Islamic education. It is not only for future scholars but also for students entering college, professionals entering the workforce, or anyone seeking to strengthen their relationship with Islām.

Curriculum
The Tanwir Intensive combines traditional Islamic sciences with Arabic immersion. Students begin with English resources before progressing into Arabic texts, ensuring accessibility for all backgrounds.

- Must be 18+ years old and have completed high school (or equivalent).
- Must be able to read and write Arabic at a basic level.
- Commitment to full-time study (part-time option not available).
Student Life
Tanwir students experience more than just classes. The program is structured as a full-time immersive experience where study, reflection, and community blend together.
Classes run 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM, with built-in breaks for prayer, meals, and study. Students are expected to dedicate ~3 hours outside class daily.
Optional halal meal plans are available through local restaurants.
Located in the heart of a thriving Muslim community, students benefit from access to local halal dining, masjid activities, and a supportive peer group
While DarusSalam does not provide dormitories, apartments are available nearby for those wishing to live close to the campus.
Fall, Winter, Spring, Eid, and national holidays are included.
