A Home Away from Home

Comfortable housing and meal services that let students focus on what matters most — their studies.

At DarusSalam Seminary, student life is about more than lectures and books. Our programs are designed to give students space to grow — spiritually, mentally, and physically. Through sports, recreational activities, and outings across Chicagoland and beyond, students build friendships and balance the intensity of study with meaningful experiences.

Living Arrangements

DarusSalam is home to hundreds of students, many of whom relocate to Lombard to pursue Islamic education.
Local students typically commute from home, but out-of-state students (18+) are required to live in on-campus housing.
Housing is located on or adjacent to campus for easy access to classes, the masjid, and student activities.
Monthly cost: $450 per person (shared housing).
Students under 18 are not eligible for on-campus housing.

Meal Services

Boarding students enjoy affordable, catered halal meals provided daily by local restaurants.
Service includes both lunch and dinner, seven days a week.
Prices: $8 per meal for boarding students, $10 per meal for non-boarding students.
In addition, DarusSalam partners with local food pantries to supply essential groceries for students living in dorms. general@dsseminary.org
